Spoken with true LOVE
I understand so very much what you mean. Many times I have spoken those same words.
Today I had a phone call from a friend of my 32 year old daughter (drug addict) telling me that she (my daughter) needs help. She needs bail money. I can't believe her (and my) life has come to this. So heartbroken... Glad I was strong enough (after 3 years) to say no. But I still broke down and cried. Feel so sad. Even more sad for my sweet grand babies, 7 and 9 who deserve to have a Mom participating in their lives...
Though I titled this "a strange lifr-saver", I'm no longer convinced about that. Not only does my daughter invariably get out after a few days in jail (in spite of our resistance to pleas for bail money), it makes no difference in her drug use. ~ Cheryl
